NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE)
The Energy Project has been partnering with DPIE since 2015 on the Home Energy Action (HEA) Program.
The Energy Project has acted as lead technical consultant and advised on the program design for the Community Housing stream as well as other programs. It’s involvement has included undertaking the major recruitment phase within the social housing provider (SHP) sector.
The Energy Project oversaw the implementation of energy upgrades with several SHPs from commencement to completion.

The $5.4 million St George Community Housing project was the largest project by far delivered through the Home Energy Action program which included the oversight of the supply and installation of ~850 solar power systems.
The Energy Project continues to provide ongoing technical and strategic advice to the HEA program including the development of detailed technical specifications for energy efficiency measures and solar power systems.
The Energy Project is currently engaged as a Technical Consultant for the following Home Energy Action programs: Hume Housing, Compass Housing and Housing Plus. The deployment of solar power systems is a focus of all of these projects.
